If you've seen Hitchcock's The Birds, you will totally get my interpretation of this picture. I'm not sure what is migrating through Smyrna this time of year but they have come in masses - hundreds!

Black waves of birds fly overhead for seconds that seem like minutes as they move from location to location.

Isn't migration interesting - objects moving as one over distances? I put down roots and dig in. Wouldn't life be different if I just migrated paths all year....
