Inspired by a magazine article of two cross continental women who became friends by uploading photos taken by each before noon, I got a wild hair to copy their efforts. I liked the idea of documenting the possibilities or the mundan of each day.

Good Morning!

Today began with raindrops on the roof (nothing new for ATL this winter). My umbrella was (of course) in the car, so I pulled this out of the closet to get me from shelter to shelter. I'm not really sure where I picked this up. To make a good guess, I would say at an old drug store that I was in over the years. I do know why I would have purchased it. That, for sure, is in tribute to my mom. She always had one of these in her possesion (purse, on her head or in the front seat of the car). That generation was much more conscientious about their "du" than today's ladies. Therefore you had to be prepared for the rain. To be caught in the rain would mean a mid week night in curlers under the dryer cap. I'm honestly not making fun of this generation. I'm thankful that my mom was from a generation that actually took pride in their appearance. One that had morality and pride. So here's to you mom - I love you and what you stand for.
