It is always such a treat to work for John at the Atlanta History Center quarry garden each month. Believe me, it doesn't feel like work when you're beside John. He has such an enthusiasm for gardening, especially native plants, that the time feels more like a social event. You want to hang a tape recorder around his neck so you can remember all the facts that roll off his tongue. He loves to stoll the garden during the "break" to show you all the new things in bloom or new additions that he and his team have added that month. Sadly, today I have to say goodbye to John. He was approached with a wonderful opportunity by the Birmingham botanical gardens. His future audiences will be very lucky.
Inspired by a magazine article of two cross continental women who became friends by uploading photos taken by each before noon, I got a wild hair to copy their efforts. I liked the idea of documenting the possibilities or the mundan of each day.
Good Morning!
