Today is the 1 year anniversary of President Obama's $862 Billion Stimulus Bill. Here is a recap by USA Today of the status of the larger plans put to action. In my opinion, the only thing this package stimulated was the American debt. Unemployment rates and home foreclosures are still at an alarming rate, banks are not lending and construction is at a halt. Coincidentally today is also the beginning of the Christian Lenten season of repentance. Forty days to reflect and seek a refreshed heart and mind. Maybe government should embrace the same practices?
